Dr. Demboski and Dr. Carps are proud to offer you the world’s most advanced dental restoration system, the state of the art CEREC System (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics). With CEREC, we can now perform tooth colored reconstructive procedures in just one visit. Porcelain crowns, fillings, and veneers are made to exact specifications via computer-aided design in our office at the time of your appointment. The result is precise, attractive restorations in just one visit.
With CEREC, it is time to say goodbye to temporaries, impressions and multi visit restorative procedures. CEREC is metal free; there are no silver fillings to discolor your smile. The ceramic material is compatible with the tissue in your mouth and is high-grade, anti abrasive, and plaque resistant.
The first step in a CEREC restoration is to prepare and shape the tooth by removing all the decay. The second step involves applying a reflective powder onto the prepared tooth. Dr. Demboski or Dr. Carps then takes a digital image using a special optical infrared camera that records the tooth’s exact dimensions directly into the CAD/CAM computer.
After he or she successfully designs the restoration, he or she selects an appropriate material of the proper shade for your specific tooth. It is placed into the milling machine, which in just a few minutes shapes it into a custom-fitted restoration.
Dr. Demboski or Dr. Carps then tries in the new restoration, adds any necessary coloring, bonds or cements it in place and then polishes it to a beautiful luster. Lastly, he or she checks your bite and makes any final adjustments.
Using CEREC technology is healthier for you because it provides extremely accurate restorations made with durable materials that work with advanced dental adhesives. This means that only a minimal amount of tooth preparation is required, leaving more of the healthy tooth structure intact.
